Promoting Employment in Bedfordshire and Luton
What is PEBL?
The PEBL (Promoting Employment in Bedfordshire & Luton) project offers a service designed to assist and support employees in Bedfordshire & Luton whose jobs are either at risk of redundancy or who have been issued with notice of redundancy. This free service is new to Bedfordshire and Luton; it is supported by the European Social Fund and is confidential.
Partners include Learning for Life, who provide information, advice and guidance to employees leading to a skills audit; and Job Centre Plus who will give employment and benefits advice. In addition the Local Learning and Skills Council, Chamber Business, Bedfordshire County Council, other local authorities and training providers are represented.
We also offer various training opportunities to upskill or reskill up to NVQ level 2. We cannot guarantee funding for training for individuals above level 2 but will try to access funding through our partners.
Company Closure, Reorganisation and Redundancy Toolkit - Please note that the Toolkit is being updated. You can download the 2003-2005 model in our file library.
